Dinnerware for Entertainment

The dinner table is the place where everyone in the house gathers around each day, and for this reason, it is vital that it is an enjoyable space!  This season’s brand new arrivals for dinnerware includes the award-winning Big Tomato Company’s Robot Collection, which were inspired by the 1950’s hype of Sci-fi in books and film, and will become the new collectibles for both kids and adults at your house.  Apart from the Robot Collection, you might also want to opt for a more glamorous set of mugs from the Urban Graphic Collection which was fired using real gold and platinum.

Ever wondered what you would look like with a moustache?  Peter Ibruegger’s playful Moustache Cups will surely crack your families and friends up when you take a sip from it!  There are even three different styles of moustaches available, which equal three different jokes and a whole lot of laughter’s!

Let your imagination run wild with Vanessa Mitrani’s No Limit Fish Collection!  This set of crystalware will be sure to make your guest gaze with amusement. Unlike conventional fish tanks which contain the fishes within the tank, these fishes are swimming right through the glasses and vases.

For someone who loves Lego growing up, Seletti’s new decorative set of white porcelain, which comprises of six flat plates, bowls and  serving bowls is great for the architecture side of you.  The Seletti Palace adds up to a building when stacked up and it also has a fascinating floor plan on the inside of the plates!  It is a simple yet entertaining piece of chinaware that will keep your guests around the table for hours.

Hippolyte Romain for Raynaud’s Marquises et Mandarins collection is an extraordinarily unique collection inspired by both the eighteenth-century French and the Chinese cultures.  The word “Marquises” represents the French noble ladies and “Mandarins” captivates the Chinese influences.  For those who love designs from the East, the cake plates range displays cranes and roosters in an unusually elegant way.

For those of you green activists out there, Lane Crawford has brought in a number of eco-friendly and fair-trade chinaware including Smiling Planet and Gone Rural.  Nothing beats the satisfaction after doing a good deed AND getting to use these cute plates!

Other fun products include Grain de Couleur Creation’s Couvlisa collection of placemats, which has cutlery printed on it, shadows and all.  To have a true piece of artwork to have on your dinner table, Deshoulieres and Marimekko also offers some artistic dinnerware.
