Lane Crawford invites you to experience the latest trends and fashion in menswear through The Portfolio, a comprehensive style directory featuring some of the best designs and key looks for Spring/Summer 2010.
Scaling back on previous seasons’ structured tailoring excess, Spring/Summer 2010 features understated looks consisting of wardrobe staples from designers such as 3.1 Phillip Lim, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, and Raf Simons that travel confidently from work days to weekends. An effortless attitude dominates the runway as designers unveil ensembles that radiate the carefree spirit of the season. Formal attire adopts a relaxed silhouette featuring softly tailored jacket and draped trousers. Casual wear comes in a vibrant variety of updated wardrobe essentials that include tribal print designs as seen in Givenchy, Marni, and White Mountaineering, paint-splashed designs and denim pieces by Alexander McQueen, Diesel, Maison Martin Margiela and Ksubi, military inspired separates by Comme des Garcons Shirt and Vintage 55, and feather light knitwear from Costume National and Sacai.
In addition to a wide selection of key designs and must-haves, The Portfolio also features a unique campaign, titled The Mid-summer Odyssey is a poetic visual display of the key looks of Spring/Summer 2010, with a modern yet extremely relaxed and nonchalant mood. Shot in Hong Kong by But-Sou Lai, a Hong Kong born architect-turned-photographer who is now in high demands for Paris fashion week editorials for such publications as Stiletto magazine.
Be inspired by the diversity of styles this season from the understated soft tailoring and functional utilitarianism to the vibrancy of ethnic influences and modern artisan.
