Gone are the days when the kitchen is just a place for you to prepare your meals. With bulthaup’s revolutionary cabinet system, the kitchen no longer needs to be tugged away, hiding from the sights of your dinner guests. Established in 1949, bulthaup from Germany has always been a leader and innovator in luxury kitchen design and technology. For the first time in bulthaup’s history, the brand collaborates with renowned Vienna-based design group, EOOS, to create a uniquely mobile kitchen – bulthaup b2, which consists of kitchen tool cabinet, kitchen appliance housing cabinet and kitchen workbench. The cabinet gives new perspective of kitchen architecture and is a breakthrough away from conventional fitted kitchen. The new drawerless kitchen system is inspired by ancient old wisdom, yet finished with today’s high-technology and aesthetics. Taking reference from the simple planning, structure and functionality of the Pope’s kitchen in 17th century, designer built a cabinet that is sublimed to the essentials; kitchen accessories and tools are visible at a glance as they are either laid flat or hung on the wall. This resembles a carpenter’s tool cabinet as craftsmen hang all their tools, such as hammers and chisels on the tool cabinet for easy access. bulthaup b2 is a system that either conceals everything or showcases it. Opening the cabinet door gives you an overview of the entire kitchen domain, including tools, accessories, cutlery and electronic appliances. Everything needed for a two-person household is displayed, visible at a glance and within reach. The smart compaction of storage space makes pull-outs and drawers unnecessary. Leading the evolution of modern kitchen design, bulthaup’s cabinet is available at Lane Crawford Pacific Place home store this season.
